Human Rights – Leading with responsibility

Our vision of "Leadership in Filtration" aligns with our mission to take responsibility for both current and future generations. Our Code of Conduct and Social Charter have been guiding us since 2008 – long before current laws and regulations came into effect. This underscores our long-term commitment to ethical, sustainable, and responsible business practices.

The respect for human and environmental rights, fair and safe working conditions, and a respectful, non-discriminatory approach within our company and throughout our value chain are part of our DNA. This is our understanding of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Since 2021, we've been a part of the UN Global Compact. Adhering to its 10 principles, as well as achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is a fundamental commitment for us. We have also been complying with the German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) since its introduction in 2023.

MANN+HUMMEL is a leader in filtration thanks to our dedicated employees, who act ethically and socially while developing outstanding solutions for a cleaner planet. This combination of strong values, shared vision, commitment to human rights, and clear rules of conduct forms the foundation of our sustainable work.

MANN+HUMMEL and human rights: Our company policy

We have been committed to human rights and sustainability since our founding in 1941, striving to improve the lives of all people. Our company policy is based on guidelines and standards from the following institutions and laws:

UN Global Compact

We have been a member of the world's largest and most significant initiative for sustainable and responsible corporate management since 2021. Based on 10 universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption, it helps companies create a more inclusive and sustainable economy for everyone.

ILO (International Labour Organization):

We follow the guidelines of the International Labour Organization, which sets global labor and social standards, promotes decent working conditions, and brings governments, employers, and workers together to develop systems and programs for fair globalization and poverty reduction.

Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG)

Since 2023, this law requires large companies in Germany to ensure their supply chains comply with human rights and environmental standards by identifying risks, taking preventive and corrective measures, and regularly reporting on them.

Through advanced filtration solutions, MANN+HUMMEL contributes to cleaner mobility, cleaner air, cleaner water, and cleaner industries, fostering a healthier and more sustainable environment – essential for human well-being. Our filtration solutions also help our customers achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to our Human Rights Statement, MANN+HUMMEL sets clear expectations for employees and business partners when it comes to complying with international human rights standards. Key processes include risk management, risk analysis, preventive measures, and a whistleblowing system.
