MANN-FILTER looks back on the most successful motorsport season to date.
Ludwigsburg, November 28, 2022 – Hard work, team spirit, and a passion for motorsport – these are the qualities that define the partnership between premium filtration brand MANN-FILTER and Team LANDGRAF and delivered two championship titles this year. An eventful season, in which several challenges had to be overcome, has come to an end, a year that will certainly be remembered by many.
ADAC GT Masters Champion 2022 and runner-up team title for MANN-FILTER
MANN-FILTER once again had professional Mercedes-AMG driver Raffaele Marciello (27, Switzerland) on board as the regular Mamba driver in the ADAC GT Masters this year. The selection of a teammate for "Lello" generated a lot of excitement and attracted a great deal of attention. On the fifth race weekend of the season, the driver lineup was defined with Daniel Juncadella and the team again focused exclusively on the championship title. Team spirit, love for motorsport, and outstanding performance were ultimately rewarded with the driver's title for Raffaele Marciello. Consistency proved to be the key to success. "We weren't always the fastest, but we generally stayed out of trouble and consistently scored points. We had a great season and I'm proud that we were able to win the championship," the champion sums up.

With Elias Seppänen (19, Finland) and Frank Bird (23, Great Britain) behind the wheel, MANN-FILTER Team LANDGRAF also fielded a second Mamba this year, with the aim of providing support and paving the way for up-and-coming racing drivers to become professionals. Despite the high standard, the two young racers held their own and ended the season 10th in the junior classification, an impressive result. The team can look back on a successful debut year.
"Everything was new to us and we gained a lot of experience. The team was great and I'm very grateful for the support from MANN-FILTER," says Frank Bird, his teammate Elias Seppänen adding: "We had a lot of ups and downs, but also plenty of highlights. We were surrounded by a sea of fans wearing yellow MANN-FILTER caps and I really enjoyed the year overall."
On top of that, MANN-FILTER Team LANDGRAF received the runner-up trophy for their performance as the second-best team in the super sports car league.
International GT Open 2022 AM Champions
Alongside the ADAC GT Masters, new opportunities opened up for MANN-FILTER with a commitment at international level. Together with Landgraf Motorsport and the driver pairing of Alexander Hrachowina (44, Austria) and Martin Konrad (44, Austria), a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo bearing the distinctive yellow and green Mamba colors also competed in the International GT Open.
The two Mamba drivers stood on the podium in the AM classification at every race and quickly became hugely popular with the fans. The duo secured the International GT Open AM championship title already in the semifinal.
A season that calls for a sequel…
Podium successes, victories, and two championship titles provided a fairytale ending to an incredible motorsport season. The ability of MANN-FILTER Team LANDGRAF to overcome the many challenges this year came not least from the love of motorsport shared by every single member of the team: from the mechanics, truck drivers, and engineers to the racing drivers and the fans both on and off the track. With two championship titles, the team has finally achieved a long-awaited goal.
The big hope for the 2023 motorsport season is to retain the ADAC GT Masters and International GT Open titles. MANN-FILTER is excited to go full throttle into beast mode again next year.
